Razon’s Halo-Halo

Simply delicious as many people who have tried this halo halo since there are only 4 main ingredients that compose this dessert: matamis na saba, leche flan, macapuno and lots of fresh milk. Looks delicious even if you have not tasted it because of the generous leche flan on top of the crushed ice and fresh milk of course. Unlike the traditional halo-halo with the combination of sweetened garbanzos, red monggo, kaong, nata de coco, ube halaya, saging na saba, kamote and ice cream.

Dirty Ice Cream or Not so Dirty Ice Cream?

I kind a hate the term “dirty ice cream” since those poor small scale ice cream makers are working very hard just to earn a living. I think it has been featured many times already on TV programs like in Jessica Soho. Maybe the small time manufacturers doesn’t have the means to acquire state of the art machines to manufacture ice cream so may the term “dirty ice cream” is because all the manufacturing process are done manually. Mixing all the ingredients by hands and just using crushed ice and salt to freeze the ice cream in carts.

Salted Egg or Itlog na Maalat Making

Wondering how salted eggs or itlog na maalat is made? those delicious salty eggs that we serve or eat on the table with sliced tomatoes? If you are kind a fed up with pork or veggies this is a good subtitute or a side dish. We see salted eggs sold in the market which is red in color and most of the time it is duck or itik eggs. They are cheaper compared to chicken eggs.
