Salted Egg or Itlog na Maalat Making
April 17, 2007 4:19 pm Recipe UpdateWondering how salted eggs or itlog na maalat is made? those delicious salty eggs that we serve or eat on the table with sliced tomatoes? If you are kind a fed up with pork or veggies this is a good subtitute or a side dish. We see salted eggs sold in the market which is red in color and most of the time it is duck or itik eggs. They are cheaper compared to chicken eggs.
I don’t know if you are picky enough but the tasty ones are those with oily egg yolks. Not sure how to make it or what secret procedure to make it oily. Anyway I have two recipes which Are already in my recipe site a long time ago but silly me I used a wrong title. Instead of salted eggs recipe I used salting eggs recipe. Seems rediculous enough because no one use “salting eggs” when searching for salted eggs.
