Dr Deborah Green of Queen’s Medical Center In Honolulu informs readers of cooking light magazine that potassium rich foods have been found to be a good preventive for strokes potassium is a trace element present in considerable
amounts in the human body. It’s found in a wide variety of foods so there should be no reason to be decadent In it, says Dr Green, whose Study Shows that people who take four grams of potassium daily are less likely to suffer from strokes than those who take in less. Potassium-rich foods include a lot of ordinary, everyday favorites like potatoes, orange juice, bananas, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, low-fat milk, also spinach, wheat germ, molasses and dried fruits.
