If you are in search of a unique sinangag or fried rice, then you might try this one. It’s called Fruity Vegetarian Sinangag I got from a member of Filipino Recipe Exchange in Yahoo Groups called Alyssia. The ingredients are not hard to find and can be substituted like for example the Bragg’s Liquid Aminos which is similar to soy sauce. There are many kinds of soy sauce but the best one I’ve tasted so far is the Lee Kum Kee soy sauce. So if you wanted to try the recipe, just follow the link below.

I have a new addition to the Sauces and Dressings category. The recipe sounds foreign but I think this is already adopted here. The ingredients like the Sorrel and Tarragon are herbs that might have a local version. I ‘ll make a little research later for the local names of those herbs. To see the recipe, just follow the link below:

I have a new addition on the Sauces and Dressings category. The reason why it is called a green salsa is because the color is green. That’s very obvious but the coloring is not due to the food color but the leafy vegetables in it. The main ingredient is the watercress or commonly called ‘tonghoy’ in Filipino. With all the ingredients combined with it (capers, chives, olives, parsley, tarragon vinegar and mayonnaise) makes you think that this dip is great for grilled or baked fish. If you want to try this recipe, just follow the link below:
- Green Salsa - if you wanted to zest up and add veggies to your mayonnaise dip, then I think this recipe is for you.

Another addition for dessert category. I don’t know why it’s called Cape Cod. Maybe this cookie originate from that peninsula or maybe the folks there eat oatmeal cookies with raisins, molasses and chopped nuts because the version of this oatmeal cookie have those ingredients as a variation. Anyway so much for nonsense, just follow the link below to get your recipe.
- Cape Cod Oatmeal Cookies - The recipe is a basic oatmeal cookie recipe with molasses, raisins and chopped nuts as a variation.
