Ingredients:

1/2 cup sour cream

Filling
8 apples, peeled and cubed
3/4 cup (150 grams) sugar
1/8 cup (28 grams) butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Topping
1/2 cup (100 grams) brown sugar
1/4 cup (56 grams) butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (70 grams) all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, cashews or almonds
How to make Apple and Sour Cream Coffee Cake:
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Add sour cream alternately with dry ingredients. pour into a buttered medium baking dish. Set aside.
How to make the Filling:
- Soak apples in sugar, then bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from fire and add butter. Cool, then stir in cinnamon. Pour over batter in baking dish.
How to make the topping:
- Combine ingredients into a coarse meal.
Sprinkle over filling and batter in a baking dish. - Bake in 350 deg Fahrenheit over for 30 minutes.
